Eastkirk Cottage, Corrie where Charming Old World Meets Contemporary Design
From the moment you arrive at Eastkirk, you’re struck by its impressive stature, overlooking beautiful mature gardens and the gentle waters of the Firth of Clyde. The church boasts original stained leaded glass windows, red sandstone corbels, timber panelling, and intricate oak trusses. Yet, a bespoke glass conservatory to the north side seamlessly complements the property, offering a wonderful space to take breakfast or read whilst taking in the far-reaching sea views.

A Spacious Living Space
The property offers spacious living with two bedrooms, each with its own modern bathroom and shower. The downstairs master bedroom boasts oak floors and an abundance of storage. The bathroom features a walk-in shower, modern tiling, and fittings, plus all the comforts you would expect from such a well-designed property.
Upstairs there are two single beds in the second bedroom plus an ensuite bathroom with toilet and shower. The upstairs lounge is made for relaxing, with sun streaming through the sandstone-framed stained-glass windows, and then out across the gardens to the rippling sea. There are settees a-plenty, so relax, chat, or read in the most stunning of surroundings.
Fabulously Appointed Kitchen
Downstairs there is a fabulously appointed kitchen, with every utensil you could require, beautiful fitted units and worktops, and stripped oak floors. There’s a large dining table that seats eight comfortably and, of course, a church pew for when you feel the need.
A Safe Haven for Adults
As much as we would love to accommodate children, we must ensure the safety of all our guests. The upper mezzanine floor appears to ‘float’ from the inner walls, allowing light to flood in through the stained-glass windows, making it unsuitable for children under 12.
Guest Tips
Before you pack your bags and head to Eastkirk, remember to bring a decent torch! The walk to the hotel from Eastkirk is only six minutes away, but at night the walk back is pitch black. On the upside, you get a spectacular view of the stars – we saw comets! We also recommend visiting the Corrie Hotel for some food and a drink. The service is great and very friendly.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Eastkirk is the perfect haven for anyone seeking tranquillity, stunning scenery, and a unique blend of old and new. With its charming old-world features and contemporary design, this property is perfect for artists, hill walkers, mountain bikers, or families just looking for a peaceful retreat. Book your stay at Eastkirk Cottage in Corrie now and discover the beauty of the Isle of Arran for yourself.
